This course meets the Dental Assisting National Board’s new infection control requirements for CDA’s recertification, and meets the dental office’s yearly OSHA requirement.  The program will cover core recommendation on infection control guidelines from the CDC related to standard precautions and infection prevention. 
Issues include:
  • Guidance/hints on being inspection-ready.
  • Basic infection prevention principals & recommendations for the dental office.
  • Symptoms & effects from bloodbourne pathogens/infectious diseases.
  • Standard precautions & infection prevention.
  • Incident reporting & breaches.
  • Factors that contribute to disease transmission & modes of transmission.
  • Sterilization & disinfection guidelines.
  • Instrument packaging & testing.
  • DUWL flushing & testing.
  • Engineer controls & more.

Course fees are subject to a $25 administrative charge if registration is cancelled.
