Bridget Wright began her dental career practicing clinical dental hygiene and EFDA in a general practice in Dublin, OH. She joined the College of Dentistry in 2015 as a Dental Hygiene and EFDA Instructional Aide in the Division of Dental Hygiene. From 2015-2019, she worked with third and fourth-year dental hygiene students in clinical and preclinical courses and served as the interim Dental Hygiene Clinic Director. During this time, she continued practicing in private practice.
Professor Wright began a full-time faculty appointment in 2019. She currently serves as the course director for several undergraduate courses, including Oral Anatomy, Tooth Morphology & Occlusion, Pain & Anxiety Management, Applied Pharmacology for Dental Hygiene, and EFDA pre-clinic and clinic courses. She also teaches Advanced DH Science to the RDH-to-Bachelor of Science Dental Hygiene program and has served as the thesis advisor and committee member for Master of Science Dental Hygiene students. In addition, she teaches in the EFDA Continuing Education program, which trains 28 EFDA students annually. Professor Wright also provides patient care one day a week in the Geriatric and Oncology Dental Clinic.
Ms. Wright serves as Chair of the Dental Hygiene Curriculum Committee and Secretary of Sigma Phi Alpha-Zeta Chapter. She is a member of Dental Hygiene Accreditation Steering Committee and participates in multiple college and university-level committees and working groups. She maintains active membership in the American Dental Hygienists' Association and has previously served as a Delegate for ODHA and the Secretary for CDHA for several years.
